Member Benefits

The Connecticut Women’s Forum offers a wide range of member benefits. Most importantly, members have the opportunity to network with other women in leadership roles in business, education, healthcare, social service and medicine. With a shared goal of expanding their knowledge of world issues and their commitment to personal growth, the connections gained through their membership in CWF help to broaden their life perspectives overall.
Sharing our divergent experience, we come together to gain insights and fresh viewpoints and to renew ourselves for the demands of leadership.
Regular meetings in the Connecticut area are geared to personal and professional development, providing an environment to view problems and opportunities and to develop meaningful business and personal alliances.
CWF members are invited to attend certain events in New York sponsored by the Women’s Forum of New York (www.womensforumny.org) on a space-available basis
Members of the Connecticut Women’s Forum automatically become members of the International Women’s Forum (www.iwforum.org) with access to exceptional global conferences and seminars.Recent conferences have been held in Rabat, Morocco; Washington, DC; Rome, Italy; and Montreal, Canada. The membership of IWF consists of accomplished women from a wide range of fields and disciplines and their combined energy and focus create a wonderful opportunity for networking and education.

Purpose

The purpose of the Connecticut Women’s Forum (CWF), which is an affiliated chapter of the International Women’s Forum, is to bring together women of diverse accomplishment and recognition and to provide them with a forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences.

Community Connections

As part of their meeting planning and community commitment, CWF invites outside speakers from the community to offer programs for broadening their civic awareness. In addition, CWF directs their funds to provide scholarship assistance to female students at Housatonic Community College to advance their education.

Who Belongs to CWF?

Members of the Connecticut Women’s Forum are women leaders in many fields, including finance, education, healthcare, consulting, retail, non-profits and the arts. The membership’s rich diversity of backgrounds and experiences provides a unique camaraderie and opportunity for discussion and exchange.
